Mortal Kombat is played using a joystick and buttons. Players use the joystick to control the fighter's movement, and the buttons to perform punches, kicks, and special moves.

The objective of Mortal Kombat is to defeat the opponent by reducing their life bar to zero. Players use a combination of physical attacks and special moves to wear down their opponent, and can perform finishing moves to defeat them.
